A book about everything??

Someone sent me a page from a book about everything.
That's right - everything.
Well, not quite but it does cover a lot of topics and I have been impressed with the approach taken at least on the topics I have looked at.

It is "The Complete Book of Everyday Christianity" put out by InterVarsity Press. They sent me the page on guidance knowing that I was preparing a message on guidance.

What is totally cool is that the book is online and you can see most, if not all, the topics.

Here is the reason I send this info to you.
I know many of you are involved in teaching and answering questions from those you work with. This is a great resource when you get hit with a toughy.

For example, it covers topics such as homosexuality, divorce, masturbation, addictions, miscarriages, conflict resolution, and my favorite - the theology of chocolate.

Will you agree with everything the authors have to say?
I doubt it - but if we only read things written by folks we agree with we aren't going to grow very much. "

As an old mentor of mine used to say, "If both of us think exactly alike, neither of us is thinking very much."

So, have a look and let me know what you think.

PS- If you are interested in my message on guidance (which is coming at it from a little different perspective than I usually approach the subject) it will be online soon at www.TheSummitChurch.cc/media It is entitled: You: From the Inside Out - Part 2.
