Just had our semi-annual board meeting this morning. Wow. We are so blessed to have such a group of great men serving this mission agency. They are excited about the work each and every CTEN missionary is doing and they are doing their part to make sure CTEN operates with complete integrity so you can know you have a solid organization standing behind you.
The IRS has made lots of changes to our reporting requirements (you know how they "simplify" things and what was a 17 page document becomes a 62 page document you have to fill out). Our CPA firm made a presentation so the board would understand what the new requirements are and how we can stay "in favor with God and man."
Pastoral care remains a primary focus of the board and a topic they want to be updated on at each board meeting. They want to know that you are being cared for, prayed for, helped in whatever way possible and that CTEN remains committed to "helping ordinary people partner with God to accomplish the extraordinary". As I sat there and heard them express their concern for you - though they have not personally met many of you - I was again grateful for a board that has their focus on "people not problems" - as one board member put it today.
I just thought you ought to know that there are folks you have never met who love you, pray for you and are concerned for you and your family.
